Public Beta
Transform your Blender projects with TerraForm, the ultimate addon for creating and manipulating realistic terrains. Whether you're a game developer, visual effects artist, or 3D enthusiast, TerraForm provides a comprehensive suite of tools to elevate your terrain modeling to new heights.
Feature
Multi-Resolution Deformation
Apply complex deformations across multiple resolutions, ensuring your terrains maintain detail and realism at any scale. TerraForm's multi-resolution approach allows for intricate modifications without losing the overall structure.
Feature
Procedural Noise and Erosion
Generate stunning terrains using advanced noise algorithms and erosion techniques. From hydraulic erosion to thermal weathering, TerraForm simulates natural processes to create lifelike landscapes.
Feature
Rock Formation and Stratification
Add realistic rock formations and stratified layers to your terrains. Control density, height, and radius to achieve the perfect geological features for your scene.
Feature
Customizable Properties
Fine-tune every aspect of your terrain with a wide range of customizable properties. Adjust noise frequency, erosion constants, rock density, and more to create unique and dynamic landscapes.
Feature
Cutting-Edge Procedural Techniques
Leverage the latest procedural techniques for terrain generation. Stay ahead of the curve with innovative methods that push the boundaries of what's possible.
And Thats Not All…

Feature
Unlimited Layers
Every aspect of TerraForm was built to handle multiple simultaneous layers in a procedural and non destructive manner. Furthermore every parameter of every layer remains fully editable from creation to final render while layers make use of an efficient caching system so that system resources are never wasted
Feature
Materials Made Easy
Our multi-layered material frontend greatly simplifies the process of building complex shader node graphs. And if complex isn't your thing, our gradient maps offer a "one click" solution
Feature
Abundance Of Assets
TerraForm Includes Hundreds of heightmaps and gradient maps, including custom icons with size references directly in the thumbnail so you spend less time rummaging through files and more time creating
Feature
Lets Get Physical
Get true to life results, erverytime with custom written, scientific grade physics simulations, not feasible to recreate in plain geometry nodes and certainly not available in Bleenders physics engine

Features
The Premier Terrain Authoring Tool
TerraForm is the only addon available at this price point that addresses terrain authoring at this scale. Decades ahead of our competitors, yet still significantly more affordable

Why Choose TerraForm?

Unlock the Full Potential of Your Terrain Creation
TerraForm is designed to provide you with the most advanced tools for terrain generation and deformation, ensuring your projects stand out with stunning, realistic landscape
Warning
Before purchasing TerraForm it is important to understand a few things:
Vegetation assets seen in the demo pictures are not included in TerraForm but may be made available in future updates
This is a public beta release so expect some bugs and crashes
It is heavily recommended to install 3 python libraries before using TerraForm. They are not required but can significantly improve user experience. Terraform offers an option to download and install them for you from the user preferences
TerraForm makes use of complex math, especially in the physics simulations. Processing time grows exponentially with terrain resolution. Using an inttell core i5-2500 processor, near real time frame rates can be achieved for most deformation functions when using a 256x256 terrain grid (you can always cook out higher resolution maps once satisfied with the modifier stack
Bug reports are generated automatically and saved to the desktop. Its up to you to send them to the developer

How does the bottom-up approach work?
The bottom-up approach is what we call the workflow of creating a low-resolution terrain first and then generating high-resolution texture and height maps from it. This method is efficient and time-saving, as it allows for quick iterations and adjustments on the low-resolution terrain before generating the final high-resolution maps. TerraForm was built with this kind of workflow in mind allthough if you prefer the traditional technique of bajking the high resolution maps down to a low resolution mesh, TerraForm can do this too
What are the benefits of using JIT compilation in TerraForm?
JIT (Just-In-Time) compilation optimizes performance by compiling code at runtime from Python to machine code. This results in significant speed improvements, allowing TerraForm to generate high-resolution maps quickly and efficiently. The only downside to this is that you will need to be connected to thee internet the first time you install TerraForm in order for it to download the necessary dependencies forr JIT compilation to work within Blender
Can I still use the traditional top-down approach with TerraForm?
Yes, TerraForm supports both the bottom-up and traditional top-down approaches. You can generate a high-resolution terrain and bake maps from it if preferred. However, be aware that processing layers on a high-resolution terrain will be slower due to the complex algorithms involved.
What are the system requirements for TerraForm?
TerraForm requires Blender 4.0 or later. For optimal performance, a modern CPU with multiple cores, a dedicated GPU, and sufficient RAM (at least 16GB) are recommended.
What types of assets are included in the library
TerraForm Includes a builtin stamp library ith over 50 heightmaps, nd gradient library ith over 100 color gradients. Combine this with the procedural capabilities of TerraForm to create a large variety of landscapes
What can I expect in future updates?
TerraForm is activley developed and maintained by a single developer, Scott Clayton. You can expect regular updates including bug fixes, quality of life improvements, optimisations, new deformation functions, additional stamps, and more
